Amanda was born in 1979 in the tiny rural community of Charlos Cove on the edge of Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore. After spending several years living in Halifax she returned to her rural roots, closer to the sea, and has been living in East Lawrencetown since 2014.
Amanda spent her childhood with the ocean as her playground, encouraged by her parents to enjoy time in nature. Amanda spent most of her childhood enjoying the natural composition of the world around her, and “taking photos” with only her mind as her camera and eyes as her lens. It wasn’t until 2005 that she began taking a more serious interest in photography and sharing her view of the world with others. Amanda’s photos reflect her love of nature and passion for the unique beauty and culture of Nova Scotia. A quiet introvert, Amanda enjoys taking the time to view the small beautiful and often hidden details around her, and is thrilled to shae those details through her photography.
