PROGRAMMING & SERVICES
The Old School is committed to offering programming that contributes to the health and wellness of community members of all ages. In the past, we have offered information sessions and demos around diet and nutrition, managing chronic illness, and financial literacy. In March 2020 we wrapped our pilot movement therapy program, Enhance Through Dance, which was funded through the federal government’s New Horizons Program.

Two levels of Tai Chi for arthritis (Beginner and Intermediate) are offered every Wednesday morning by a local volunteer instructor. Tai Chi is a low key, low impact exercise that benefits the body and mind. The Old School also houses Eastern Shore Mental Health (ESMH), a network of peer mental health supporters who match community members with resources and services. ESMH also offers a weekly peer support meeting every Sunday afternoon, all are welcome.
