What are the Benefits? Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art. It is practiced around the world as an effective exercise for health. Tai Chi consists of fluid, gentle movements that are practiced in a relaxed and slow tempo. It is an exercise that can be done almost anywhere and is safe for most people. Research has been done on Tai Chi and has shown that there is improvement in muscle strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, range of motion, and aerobic fitness. Classes in Tai Chi are valuable for both men and women of any age. Folks who use walkers/wheelchairs are welcomed and encouraged to participate
