Before we can move Harbour Village forward, two major hurdles need to be addressed.

First, the Musquodoboit Harbour Community Development Plan must be reviewed and passed by City Council. You can view the plan here. This is important because it indicates that HRM is willing to support growth initiatives for the area. 

Second, zoning for the donated land for the development must be changed to allow for cluster housing. Without this zone change the maximum number of buildings allowed on the last will be 3 which is not nearly enough to address the housing shortage in our area.
