Co-founded by Frances Wong and Cecile Kung in 2019, FAI@STUDIO was a small Cantonese Opera troupe in Hong Kong. Frances is a professionally trained actress with more than 15 years of on-stage experience. With degrees in journalism, cultural management and history, Cecile worked in communications and public relations for some 20 years.
From 2019 to 2022, FAI@STUDIO staged six well-received productions of Cantonese Opera in Hong Kong. In December 2022, Frances and Cecile moved to Canada. Now that they have settled in Halifax, they are exploring opportunities to bring Cantonese Opera to Nova Scotia and beyond.
