Housing Support
Our Housing Support worker assists community members and adheres to the housing first method. They support clients in both emergency and non-emergency housing situations, helping them with the search, application process, and securing stable living arrangements. This includes providing guidance on tenancy agreements and connecting clients to community resources that aid in maintaining their housing stability.

In addition to housing support, the Housing Support Worker also focuses on advocacy and community integration. They work closely with clients to ensure they can successfully navigate their new living environment, helping them access essential services and build connections within the community. Building a connection to a community can be essential in rural communities for some individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Another part of the role is building community relations with landlords and land owners. This has proven to be vital in the area since we lack typical rental solutions and accommodations as exists in more urban areas.
In addition, we have opened up an overnight comfort center for the community until May 30, 2025, for those who are unhoused or at risk, but also for people who are experiencing struggles at home with power, water, inadequate living conditions, etc. It is for anyone in the community who needs it. There is a shower, laundry, beds and food available for anyone staying there.
