WHO ARE WE?
The Old School Community Gathering Place is a hub for the arts, culture, community wellness and innovation. A non-profit cooperative, we are based in a Craftsman-style heritage building built in 1924, Musquodoboit Harbour’s former community school. We offer accessible programming to an intergenerational audience, with projects ranging from a youth employment experience program and a dance therapy program for people with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s to community music jams, a French conversation group and Tai Chi. Special events include themed dances, musical performances, and festivals.
Explore our programming through our website, contact us or drop by to learn more about what we can offer.

COMING UP AT THE OLD SCHOOL
OUR FACILITIES
In addition to a commercial kitchen and a multipurpose room with A/V technology, the Old School houses an Art Gallery which is operated seasonally by our Art Gallery Committee volunteers. The space gives local artists a venue for their creations and adds to the tourism potential of the village. Additional Old School assets include Eastern Shore Mental Health (ESMH), the Musquodoboit Harbour Community Garden and other food-related resources.
